MARLBOROUGH STREET 1
This project was for myself and family and proved
to be the prototype for the green-oak extensions
that followed. The extension allowed us to re-connect
our home with the garden and create a larger more
sociable space.
The timber construction followed that of the
original extension and allowed us to merge modern
materials with traditional forms.
Although the original building is listed the
Planning Authorities supported this approach and
approval was granted substantially unaltered from
the original designs.
